In my portraits, I aim to attain calm and tranquillity by painting streets, still life or characters from the past expressing an air of melancholy.
… Portraits mainly of women … paintings of tranquillity, silence and chiaroscuro …
The colours are set on a structured background achieved by a specific technique. I work slowly, layer after layer, day after day, initially with my structures and with glaze and then with paint.
I have been selected:
In 2005: to represent Luxembourg at the International Art Festival in Monastir, Tunisia,
In 2007: at the Plastic Arts Festival in San Joao da Madeira, Portugal,
In 2009: at the 5th Biennial Arts Festival in Strassen, Luxembourg,
In 2014: to represent Luxembourg at the Fashion Art Institute in Luxembourg.
Every year I participate (with other artists at the Grand Duchy) at the Ateliers "Open Doors".
